This Year the old time classic movie A Christmas Story is the main theme for ICE at Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center. For those who have nor been there, ICE is a wonderful experience for all to enjoy. It captures the magic of Christmas and winter in a wonderland of adventure through ice sculptures and real ice slides!!!
Yes you read that right, Ice is the main ingredient in the creation of this experience. It has tons and tons of Ice and artists come commissioned for this job every year. In order to keep the experience in mint condition for all to enjoy, they do keep the experience at 9F , so it is cold!! Freezing cold! Don’t worry about it – they provide you with a wonderful blue parka to gear up for this man made weather. This has become one of Latin Family Now ‘s al time favorite holiday experiences in Central Florida.
Outside of the ICE exhibition there are other wonderful attractions to enjoy, Kids can throw snowballs to a moving target, there is a snowtubing setting with tall slides for the bigger kids and the young at heart. You can do arts and edible crafts in a workshop, build a bear or do story time with Miss Claus and an Elf. IF you are lucky you might meet Gingerbread girl or take a picture with the best: Santa!!!
However one of the best parts of this experience is the show presented under the christmas tree! Cirque Du Soleil partnered up with Gaylord Palms to produce a quality performance that will make you laugh and take your breath away. This year the Christmas tree also has an amazing light show with music that is a must see! It really brought up the christmas spirit and the whole family together into a holiday smile. These memories are the ones that we will cherish forever!

Every year we look forward to the preview of ICE at Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center. Christmas is special with this experience. Actually we think that Christmas starts officially after we visit ICE at Gaylord Palms, Latin Family Now has been invited to the media and VIP preview of this event for years and it now has turned into a family tradition.
The 9F ice sculptures exhibit is a pleasant walk that we all enjoy and the Ice slides are a plus excitement for all members of the family. This year it was little baby Luna’s first time going down the slide and she is only 1 year old! It was amazing to see how this family tradition has been passed along to the new generation to enjoy thanks to Gaylord Palm Resort!.
