Theme Parks Update! Reopenings and More Info

Here at Latin Family Now, as every Friday, we bring the news of theme parks and attractions that it is a source of employment and entertainment for many in Central Florida.


Walt Disney World is already preparing for its reopening in the month of July (July 11 Magic Kingdom a and Animal KIngdom / July 15 Epcot and Holywood Studios) and this week is already celebrating the opening of the Star Wars Galaxy Edge opening. For this reason, Storm Troopers are making random appearances at Disney springs. Important note is that those who wish to visit Disney after the reopening on July 11 – will have to make reservations in advance, the FastPasses are not working and Disney Parks and Resorts are not currently taking hotel reservations or selling tickets because they want to focus on people who already have previous reservations or tickets and they have not been able to use them.

• Additionally, Disney Vacation Club properties at Walt Disney World and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will begin to reopen to Members and Guests on June 22. Disney Vacation Club properties in Vero Beach, Florida, and Hilton Head, South Carolina, will open on June 15. Disney Springs has already begun to reopen. Universal studios – has already opened its doors to the general public with some modifications such as virtual queue for rows of attractions, use of facial masks and temperature taking, among other things. It is also worth noting that they put a disclaimer on their website that warns people that they do not guarantee that they will not be infected with the coronavirus because in any public place there is a risk of exposure and they recommend that they follow the rules and prevention suggestions.

Legoland also started operations on June 1st under a limited amount of assistance as well as icon Orlando.
Other parks such as SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Adventure Island and Aquatica are scheduled to reopen on July 11.

The Crayola Experience will continue to be closed .
