Weekly Theme Park Update! – LEGOLAND Pirate Island Hotel Now Open and Disney taking steps forward to receiving guests meanwhile Universal started lay offs.

Latin Family Now as every week bringing the information of the Theme Parks and attractions that is the source of employment and entertainment for many in Central Florida .
We’ve got a lot going on in the next few weeks. SeaWorld Orlando officially reopened its doors two weeks ago, as did Universal Studos who began with the dismissal of more than 700 people of their staff this week.

On the other hand, City Walk and Disney Springs continue to receive people with the requirement to wear protective face masks at all times.
Disney, for its part, is getting ready in the reopening process that will be on July 11 (Magic Kindom and Animal Kingdom) and 15 (Epcot and Hollywood Studios) upon reservation only. Even those with Annual pases have to wait and make reservations if they want to visit. During this process they are already making modifications to the parks and resorts including no more than 4 people per elevator, isolation in the queues and separated group seating on the transport buses along with multiple hand sanitation stations.

A lot of employees have already been called upon to report to their posts as of July 5 and others are still in the uncertainty of when they will be called.
Disney in California postponed its reopening and some speculate whether this would happen in Orlando as a large number of union employees are making a request for Orlando Park to turn this reopening date due to the large number of rising cases of Covid 19 in Central Florida. The petition already has signatures that reach more than 12,000 people. and equity employees on their part are also asking for a delay for the same reasons. Disney hasn’t commented on it when we asked.

Many also still wonder if there were Dismissals at Disney just like at Universal. What we do know is that special seasonal activities like Mickeys Not So Scary Hallowen party have been canceled. But Disney has refused to comment about firing employees or delay reopening. So far it looks like the July 11 and 15th dates will happen.

The restaurant on property serves a food fest for the family to share in the style of medieval times!
